I’d be willing to pay $60 for a much bigger version of Real Racing 2 with (1) more circuits and cars, (2) a much-needed re-shuffling of many car groupings, (3) full customization, and (4) making timed events a way to snag higher-end machines for free, with discounted upgrades and servicing during the time one participates in the event.
The graphics are enough; it only needs some polishing and shining, because I’d like to see this Real Racing iteration as a game that can be run even on transformables and more plebeian dual-core desktops.
The latter three points will come up in another post (together with dynamic weather and day/night cycles, as well as selling/trade-ins). For now, I’ll center on the easier stuff: the cars and tracks.
Recommended circuits, in order I want them in the game (not to mention Brands Hatch GP layout, Nurburgring Endurance layout, Old Le Mans)

There’s still a whole lot more I haven’t added, mostly Time Attack and Pikes Peak racers, as well as other F1 cars (basic grouping for F1: ‘70-’73, ‘74-’77, ‘84-87, ‘90-’95, ‘02-’05, ‘07-’08, ‘09-’13). I’ll re-sort these out later on.
Anyway, that’s me rambling about. Nothing to see or hear here, move along. There might be a follow-up tomorrow, maybe not. Dunno.

I have played Real Racing, I was disgusted by the amount of assists. Auto brake, auto steer, etc. I want to play the damn game.
Is it actually good? Can you turn that crap off?
![]() 12/15/2015 at 04:46 |

Yes, you can turn all assists off. I did, save traction control, helps correct some of the ham-fist driving that sometimes gets bared when I play.
I’ll tackle assists, shifting gears and tuning & customization in part 2. Maybe.

...Can you shift gears?
That’s fair. As long as the option is there ;) I’ve had better results playing old console games emulated on my phone, rather than actual phone games. The casual gaming trend does not agree with me, for a few reasons.

Save for drag races, no. That’s sonething I’ll address the next post.
Then again, H-pattern shifting would be a bitch on touch devices.

Since I don’t know what’s included in the standard package (not that those will remain, as we’ve seen with Forza...), I’ll add a few things I’d like to see:
Ferrari 288GTO
Ferrari 126C2 (as well as all of the other 1982 F1 cars)
VW Rabbit GTI/Golf GTI Mk 1
Audi quattro A1/A2 (and anything Group B)
Audi 200 quattro Trans-Am
BMW M1 (standard, Procar and Group 4/Group 5)
BMW E34 M5
BMW E24 Jagermeister
BMW/McLaren E21 Turbo (box flares FTW)
Peugeot 205GTI
Lancia Delta Integrale 16V Evoluzione II
Porsche 968 Turbo RS
Porsche 924 GTR
Porsche 914-6 GT
Porsche 904 (/6 & /8)
Porsche 907
Just rambling. I need sleep.

You mentioned the 906, and all of a sudden I realized I forgot the GT40.

Don’t worry - $kaycog would have reminded you...

Also, the second Lancia Delta I mentioned is the 16V.

Yup - same car, slightly different name.

I didn’t actually plan to put any more older WRC cars in there, I just wanted to get the Hyundai i20 some company should a PC release come up. But I got overboard (and realized there are cars that might end up like the i20, without contemporaries, like the Stratos).
Then again, it’d be fun to have Monte Carlo, Sweden, Australia, France, and Tour de Corse in there.
Also...
basic grouping for F1: ‘53 to ‘59, ‘65-’69, ‘70-’73, ‘74-’77, ‘84-87, ‘90-’95, ‘02-’05, ‘07-’08, ‘09-’13
I was gunning for 8 to 12 cars per interval, but I’m not too sure which to have, as I still have to add about two weaker ones per series. Help.

Do you mean RR3, or are you actually talking about 2? The picture is from three, but the article mentions two. I are confuse.

Whoops, typo error, I was talking Real Racing 3.

s on your pc and use a bluetooth or wired controller to play via play store download and cloud backup of your current save. The extra tracks and cars I cannot help with but you can at least play it on your PC with Bluestacks.

Every track you listed is available in rFactor.
There are several mods that bring older F1 machines to rFactor, my personal favorites cover the 1967, 1971, and 1994 seasons.

H-pattern would, but all you need is basic shift-up/shift-down.
I tried this game again thanks to this post. Once I figured out how to turn off the assists and the auto-accelerate (not on the same menu)...I discovered that any attempt at oppo locks you to into super-mad-dope-childish-NFS-auto-drift mode. Not for me.
I also tried using touches to steer instead of tilt. The camera jerks every time you steer, it’s impossible to actually play.
I feel like this game should be better.
